GM Laylo leads in Bundesliga 3 and in IIEE chess Olympiad season 8

GM Darwin Laylo lead all scorers with 58 points leading the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) chessmasters team as champion for the Bundesliga level 3 against 9 other international team last April 3, 2026 via Lichess. Supporting GM Laylo to lead a hundred points over the nearest pursuer Birman of Israel are: AGM Joseph Galindo (35 pts), Sultan Janalan Marohomsalic (33), John Tia (31), Mensuary Pacalundo (28), Edmund Daluddung (27), Roderick Lagoc (25), Randy Turreda (24), Bren Sasot (24) and Vince brimbuela (22).
On same day and platform, GM Laylo continue his superb performance without a loss in the IIEE National Chess Olympiad season 8 pre-tournament leading the Bayanihan-IIEE Metro Central team for 4th place finish, just 10 points behind the Champion Mapua-IIEE Metro South/West. The last pre-tournament will happen on April 10, 2026 with IIEE Singapore (champion of pre-tournament last March 27) expected to rebound together with other teams such as International Chess Friends Federation-IIEE Bicol, Faeldonia Chess Team Philippines-IIEE Metro North/East, Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME)-IIEE Mindanao, Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippinee (IECEP) – IIEE Visayas, GMG – IIEE Luzon. The season 8 online chess last round will be on November 20, 2026 then face to face tournament is set on November 28, 2026 at SMX MOA, Pasay City. Mapua is the season 7 team champion with IM Michael Concio as defending individual champion. The 8 highest individual online scorer for 2026 will play in a candidate format to challenge IM Concio.
