CATCH THE ACTION TOMORROW, FRIDAY, APRIL 3 AT PECHANGA RESORT CASINO IN TEMECULA, CALIF. – LIVE ON ESPN KNOCKOUT

TEMECULA, CALIF. — Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP) is set for tomorrow night after all fighters successfully made weight this afternoon. The event is headlined by a 12-round IBF Minimumweight World Championship showdown between reigning champion Pedro Taduran (19-4-1, 13 KOs) and challenger Gustavo Pérez Álvarez (16-1, 5 KOs).

The action begins tomorrow, April 3 at 6 p.m. PT at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, Calif. Fans unable to attend can catch the event live on ESPN Knockout starting at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.

“I am ready to prove to the world why I am the best minimumweight on the planet,” said reigning IBF Minimumweight World Champion Pedro Taduran. “I have worked extremely hard for this fight and I am going to put on a performance that makes everyone proud. Gustavo is a strong challenger, but when we step inside that ring tomorrow night in Temecula, the IBF belt stays right here with me.”

“I have dedicated everything to this moment,” said Gustavo Pérez Álvarez. “Taduran is a great champion and I respect him, but I am coming to Temecula ready to make history. I have worked my whole career for a shot at a world title and I am not leaving California without that IBF belt. Tomorrow night is my night.”



In the co-main event, Jimuel Pacquiao Jr. (0-0-1) returns for his second professional outing against Darrick Gates (0-1) in a scheduled 4-round lightweight bout.

Rising undefeated star and reigning WBC Silver Middleweight Championship titleholder Lazaro Lorenzana (19-0, 13 KOs) squares off against Esneiker Correa (16-6-3, 6 KOs) in a 10-round middleweight bout.

Rounding out the card, Joseph Subia (3-0-1, 3 KOs) takes on Francisco Casillas (3-0-2, 2 KOs) in a 4-round featherweight contest, while Paolo Barredo (5-0, 2 KOs) meets Roberto Almazan Monreal (13-26-1, 5 KOs) in a 6-round lightweight bout. Making their professional debuts, Antonio Villegas faces Alexander Nakamura(0-1) in a super bantamweight bout, and Malikah Salazar takes on Stephen Barbee (1-6) in a 4-round lightweight opener.
