NONTHABURI, Thailand — Filipino flyweight Reymark "Lucky Boy" Alicaba (10-11, 8 KOs) from Davao del Sur was not so lucky as he lost by decision to world-ranked WBC #4 Flyweight Thananchai Charunphak (30-2, 16 KOs) of Thailand.
Their eight-round non-title clash took place on Friday, March 27, at 7pm (Filipino Time), at the NKL Gym in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
The brave, well-trained Alicaba fought with honor, wanting the win till the very end, but was bested via unanimous decision by the strong Thananchai of Thailand's NKL Gym. There were no knockdowns nor cuts thru out the rumble, which was televised live on Thailand's Channel 8 and YouTube.

During the fight, the 26-year-old "Lucky Boy" Alicaba was supported and cheered by his noisy and enthusiastic teammates of the Highland Boxing Gym. His lead cornerman during combat was veteran coach Frank Jaro of Rizal.
The fight was promoted by well-now Thai boxing outfit NKL Promotions.
Happy Mood Regardless. Brave Lucky Boy Alicaba in the back seat wearing sunglasses sas cheered by his highland teammates, and even he lost by decision.
Its OK, "Lucky Boy," you tried your best and your teammates, family and relatives are proud of you. Have a good rest, and try again. God bless you, brave boy!
