Canoy to fight Balidio on March 14 in Matanao

JOEY “The Babyface” Canoy of General Santos City will fight Pablito Balidio of Bohol on March 14 at Barangay Sinaragan in Matanao, Davao del Sur.
The 32-year-old Canoy [24-5-2, 15KOs] was supposed to face Siyakolwa Kuse of South Africa on March 28. But the fight was postponed to May 16 still in South Africa.
“I'm ready, I'm already very much in training,” said Canoy, who will be accompanied by JR Edurot.
In his last fight, Canoy stopped Minh Phat Sam in the 10th round to win the WBC International last April 27 in Gensan.
Meanwhile, undefeated Eduard Teric [7-0-0, 2KOs] of Matanao will face Kei Mark Akut [2-3-1, 2KOs] in the main event.
The event billed as the “Kamao sa Kamao” is promoted by Contenders Boxing Promotion.
