English promoter Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions may be taking legal action against Saudi Arabia's state-owned entertainment and hospitality company, Sela, and TKO Group Holdings, the American media group that owns UFC and WWE, based on alleged breach of contract with Queensberry Promotions following the announcement of the formation of Zuffa Boxing.
Queensberry had an exclusive commercial agreement signed with Sela in September 2023 to produce, advise on, and provide boxing consulting services, as well as another agreement with TKO that included access to Queensberry's online data services.
It has been revealed that Frank Warren has a financial grievance based on the fact that Sela and TKO, in announcing their alliance to form Zuffa Boxing, disregarded the commitments made to the contracts signed with Queensberry Promotions, leading him to seek a lawsuit for breach of contract.
Queensberry had an exclusive commercial agreement signed with Sela in September 2023 to produce, advise on, and provide boxing consulting services, and also another agreement with TKO that included the use of Queensberry's online data services. for 739,946 pounds sterling, roughly $1,000,000 in lost revenue.
Queensberry has presented information indicating that Sela and TKO allegedly benefited from confidential information and violated the terms of both contracts.
Zuffa Boxing has just signed British boxer Conor Benn to a one-fight contract worth $15 million.
Zuffa has 50 boxers signed and maintains that they will continue to grow until they dominate world boxing.
