Pro Boxer and Recent Grad Returns for Fight Night on the Farm — Celebrating Stanford’s Boxing Community

PALO ALTO, CA (January 14, 2026) — Undefeated professional middleweight boxer and Stanford alumnus, Dante “The Inferno” Kirkman (7-0, 3 KOs), who is the first and only student boxer in Stanford history to turn professional, will appear as a special guest at Stanford Fight Night, the university’s first-ever collegiate boxing showcase hosted by Farm Games Student Fights. The event will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Burnham Pavilion in Stanford, CA.
A native of Palo Alto, CA, and a proud graduate of Stanford University, Kirkman has quickly made a name for himself in the professional boxing world. Known for his poise in the ring and power behind the gloves, Kirkman brings not only an undefeated record but also a story of discipline, education, and excellence shaped by his time on The Farm.
As Stanford prepares to host this unprecedented event blending sport, student life, and community engagement, Kirkman expressed deep gratitude for the role Stanford played in his journey to becoming a professional athlete.
“Stanford didn’t just give me an education—it helped shape my mindset as a professional,” said Kirkman. “The exceptional environment here taught me to use my intellectual acuity and sheer determination to perform at my very best. Those lessons have been critical in the ring, where boxing IQ and mental toughness often determine the outcome. The pursuit of excellence that defines Stanford is something I carry with me into every fight.”
Stanford Fight Night on the Farm, celebrating Stanford’s Boxing community, is part of the Farm Games initiative, a student-led movement designed to bridge the gap between student-athletes and non-student-athletes through community-centered, recreational competition. The event will showcase Stanford students who have trained under certified boxing coaches and will compete under USA Boxing-sanctioned safety standards, including full protective gear and medical personnel on site.
“It’s an incredible honor to be invited back to Stanford as a special guest for this historic night,” continued Kirkman as he shared his excitement about returning to campus for such a landmark event. “Fight Night on the Farm is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of Stanford's Nerd Nation, where we excel academically and athletically. I’m thrilled to be part of something that brings people together through sport and school pride.”
The evening will also serve as a fundraising opportunity, with proceeds benefiting both the Farm Games initiative and the Stanford Club Boxing Team—programs that support student wellness, connection, and athletic development. Kirkman emphasized the importance of supporting Stanford athletes at all levels.
“I've been so happy to serve as a mentor to amateur boxers here at Stanford. I love helping our boxing club team develop their skills and self-confidence in the sport, and I am in awe of the dedication and passion that they bring to the ring. I'll continue to do whatever I can to help grow it here at Stanford,” he added. “Boxing has taught me discipline, humility, and self-belief—values that align perfectly with the Stanford experience. Supporting these students means investing in the personal development of young leaders.”
Thanks to the incredible efforts of Nicholas Aguerre, President of the Stanford Club Boxing Team, and his dedicated team, the first-ever collegiate boxing showcase at The Farn promises to be an unforgettable event.
