
Jellie Ann Magro wins 6 straight, Quezon City down Isabela in PCAP

The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) and Quezon City (QC) chess team of Siba’s tribe won over Isabela Knights of Alexander 16-5 last November 5 in the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP). Jellie Ann Magro, a mechanical engineer, continuous her winning form as she won all her last 6 games versus Camarines, Iriga and Isabela lady players. With absence of IIEE-PSME QC team senior player, all other boards except 1 had delivered 2 wins each with board 1 NM Gerald Ferriol, board 2 CM Romy Fagon, board 6 CM Joseph Navarro and board 7 AIM Francis Talaboc. Board 5 Nixon Curioso split his game.
Going into the final stretch of PCAP season 5 conference 2, team owner Danny Ponay, IIEE National President Alberto Herrera Jr., PSME National President Archelle Baculi and team Manager Allan Alvarez and IIEE Golden sports chairman Menandro “Andy” Lim are thankful for its members which includes assistant managers Samivin de los Santos and Dennis Alain Lladoc, coach Michaela Concio, assistant coaches Bren Sasot and Mark Oliver Ingcad, playing technical assistant coaches twin brothers AIM Francis and Freddie Talaboc, and all the player pool which includes the following: FM Rico Salimbagat, FM Roberto Suelo Jr., NM Robert Arellano, NM Gerald Ferriol, Nixon Curioso, NM Nicomedes Alisangco, NM Homer Cunanan, NM Marc Christian Nazario, Kristian Paulo Cristobal, CM Romy Fagon, IM Jose Efren Bagamasbad, CM Joseph Navarro, Norman Madariaga, NM Marlon Bernardino Jr., Manilyn Cabungcag, Jellie Ann Magro, NM Jose "Jojo" Aquino Jr., NMAlvin Alcala, IM Ronald Bancod, NM Romeo Alcodia, Patrick Erle Florendo, Ricardo Jimenez, Randy Turreda, Justin Corpin, Elizsa Gayle Cafirma, AGM Joseph Galindo, Atty.
