London, UK — George Liddard announced his arrival at the elite level of British boxing with a devastating, statement-making victory over Kieron Conway, dropping and stopping his opponent to capture the vacant British Middleweight Championship. The spectacular performance not only earned Liddard his first major title but also secured his place in the history books as the youngest ever British 160-pound champion.

The highly-anticipated domestic clash, which took place Friday night, Oct. 17 (Saturday morning in Manila) at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, England, saw Liddard execute a relentless and powerful attack, culminating in a dramatic stoppage in the 10th round that stunned the crowd.

Liddard who remained undefeated at 13 wins with 8 stoppages, entered the bout as a highly-touted prospect, but Conway (22-4-1, 7KOs) presented a significant step-up in competition, having previously challenged for major titles.

From the opening bell, Liddard fought with a composure and aggression that belied his age. He utilized smart movement and crisp punching to control the center of the ring. The end came swiftly in a decisive moment that left no doubt about the superior power on the night.

The key action occurred when Liddard rocked Conway with a punishing combination, sending his opponent to the canvas in the 9th round. While Conway managed to beat the count and managed to survive the round, Liddard immediately swarmed him in the 10th, sensing the finish was near. Conway's corner reluctantly threw in the towel after seeing their fighter on the verge of another knockdown, making Liddard the new champion by TKO.

The victory is particularly significant due to the historical milestone Liddard achieved. By winning the British Middleweight title, he surpassed a record that had stood for decades, claiming the coveted Lonsdale belt at a remarkably young age of 23.

Speaking after the fight, Liddard expressed his elation and promised more to come. "This is just the start. Kieron is a tough, tough man, but I knew I had the power and the speed to get the job done," Liddard said. "To be the youngest British champion at middleweight is an honor, but now the hard work really begins."

For Kieron Conway, the loss is a setback, but his pedigree suggests he will return to title contention soon. Conway showed heart and resilience, but he could not overcome the explosive power of his younger rival.
