2026 Ironman 70.3 is back in Davao

DAVAO CITY – The much bigger and bolder 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 Davao is set on March 22 with a new bike course – the Davao-Bukidnon road.

It was launched October 3 at the Arcadia Event Center by Sunrise Events Inc., the exclusive licensee of IRONMAN in the Philippines.

“IRONMAN 70.3 Davao has become a crown jewel on the Philippine triathlon calendar, and this 5th edition will be our biggest yet,” said Princess Galura, General Manager and President of Sunrise Events Inc.

It will be the fifth staging and the event promises to be the most competitive IRONMAN 70.3 race in the Philippines for 2026,

The course: a 1.9km swim in Talomo Bay with Mt. Apo as a dramatic frame, a 90km bike course along the lightning-fast Davao City Coastal Road, and a 21.1km run.

It will also have new race categories and events – Sprint Distance triathlon, Gwapa Dabawenya Run 21km Pinakagwapa, 10km Mas Gwapa, and 5km Gwapa Dabawenya and the IRONKIDS Aquathlon, a swim-and-run format.

The 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 Davao will unveil a new race logo that embodies the bold energy of the city, the resilience of its people, and the unity of athletes who gather from around the world to compete in the King City of the South.

Also present yesterday were Race Director Julian Valencia, City Administrator Tristan Dwight Domingo and City Sports Chief Mikee Aportadera.
