Jeo Santisima.

Jeo Santissima saved Filipino fighters from a shutout in Japan Sunday stopping his Japanese opponent Narumi Yukawa in the sixth round of a scheduled 8 rounds supporting super featherweight contest.

Two other Pinoy fighters Mark Vicelles and Enrique Magsalin however lost their bouts in the same promotional card held at the Grandship, Shizuoka in Shizuoka, Japan

World #22 flyweight Vicelles (now 20-2-1) went down in defeat by 8th round technical knockout to world #18 rated Kosuke Tomioka (now 10 (8)-4-0) in the main event while Magsalin (now 11-8-2) lost by unanimous decision to undefeated Atsuki Sano (now 8-0-0) in another supporting 8 rounds bout at flyweight.

With the victory, Santisima, currently with a record 26 wins, including 22 by KO against 8 losses and 0 draws, bounced back from a recent narrow points loss to Ei Go. It was also his third win in seven fights in Japan thus far. Meanwhile, Yukawa saw his record impaired to 8-4-0 with 7 knockouts.

Suarez (L) puts the pressures on Navarrete/i>

Meanwhile, Charly Suarez's title rematch against WBO super featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete may now hang in the balance by the planned world unification with another Mexican, IBF titlist Eduardo Nunez as next bout for both titleholders.

It can be recalled that the WBO has ordered the immediate title rematch between Suarez and Navarrete following a controversial first bout at the Pechanga. That fight was initially judged as 8th round technical unanimous decision in favor of the Mexican but later overturned as no decision by the California State Athletic Commission on video evidence that Suarez should have won by TKO.

But with Eddie Hearns backing the all-Mexican showdown and the agreement among boxing bodies that unification bout takes precedence over title defense, Suarez rematch with Navarrete now hangs in the balance.

However, Suarez and his common promoter with Navarrete, Bob Arum of Top Rank have to agree to a step aside in order that the unification bout with Nunez takes place. And that means a commensurate step aside fee plus the commitment that the winner will take on Suarez as mandatory challenger.

Eddie Hearns can smell a lot of money in the planned all-Mexican super featherweight shootout between Navarrete and Nunez but most likely, so does Arum who may want his piece of the action-- and the revenue pie.

Hence Arum, not only Suarez can still pose a major stumbling block to the enterprise.
