
Historic win for Paolo Gallito who edges Lee Van Cortez in the finals of the Efren "Bata" Reyes Yalin 10-Ball Championships

Paolo Gallito of Mandaluyong City won the Efren "Bata" Reyes Yalin 10-Ball Championship.
He defeated Lee Vann Corteza of Davao City with a score of 13-12 in the thrilling final held at the Pacman's Cue Club, Lower Ground Floor, Worldwide Corporate Center, Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City on Saturday, August 30,2025.
This his first major victory.
"I'm over the moon-I still can't believe I'm a Philippine International Open champion. I'm so proud to bring this trophy," said the 25-year-old Gallito.
"It was a tough match. This final is something I'll remember forever. Lee Vann Corteza is one of the best in the world," he added.
On the road to the finals, Gallito bested Bryan Paco, 11-5, to arrange a titular showdown with Corteza, who brought downed Oliver Villafuerte, 11-8.
With the win, Gallito pocketed P1 million, the runner-up place Corteza earned P300,000.
