The RP Blu Girls snapped their two-game skid in emphatic fashion, demolishing Hong Kong 12–0 in just four innings at the 2025 WBSC Women’s Softball Asia Cup, held Saturday at the Xi’an Physical Education University Softball Stadium in China.
The Philippine squad exploded with 11 hits and put up runs in every inning, including a 6-run burst in the third, while holding Hong Kong to just one hit. It was a complete performance on both ends as the Filipinas improved to 6–3 in the tournament standings.
ASAPHIL President and Cebuana Lhuillier CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier lauded the team’s ability to recover quickly. “This was the response we were hoping for,” he said. “After two tough games, the Blu Girls came out with focus and urgency. It’s a great reminder of what this team is capable of when they play their game.”
Coming off consecutive losses to China and Chinese Taipei, the Blu Girls wasted no time reasserting themselves on the diamond.-Marlon Bernardino-
