World-ranked Filipino Jay-r Raquinel (R) and unbeaten Mexican Yahir Frank Faced Off during the press conference in Mexico City.

Both young fighters proudly carried their national Flags during the serious yet friendly encounter.

Present during the entertaining presser was WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, who looked excited about the event billed as “Guerra: México vs Filipinas!”

During their time with the microphone, Raquinel and Frank promised to thrill fans in a exciting clash.

Yes, the skilled Pinoy southpaw "The Dreamer" Jay-r Raquinel (16-2-1, 13 KO's) of Cauayan, Negros Occidental, will lock horns against undefeated 21-year-old Yahir Frank (17-0, 12 KO's) for the vacant WBC Silver Super Flyweight Belt.

The 12-round war will take place on Saturday, October 12, in Frank's hometown of Hermosillo in Sonora, Northern Mexico, about 700 Km from the U.S - Mexican border.

Jay-r is accompanied in Mexico by his experienced head coach Allan Alegria and his promoter Brico Santig, head of Highland Boxing.

The fight is a crucial one for the Filipino Raquinel as he is the one putting his double world rankings on the line.

As of now, “The Dreamer” is rated as WBC #10 and IBF #12 in the world rankings.

Meanwhile, the Mexican Frank is #9 in the WBC rankings.

Frank wants too bad to get higher in the world rankings by beating the Pinoy.

Will he be able to do that?

Or will it be Raquinel the one to control the war, soundly defeating Frank in his own hometown of Hermosillo?

The rumble is indeed important because the winner will not only becomes WBC Silver Champion, but also because he’d inch closer to a dream world title fight in the super flyweight division.
