Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and Japanese MMA K1 champion Rukiya Anpo stepped the scales today at Westin Tokyo Hotel in Tokyo, Japan ahead for their exhibition fight tomorrow night at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan as the featured attraction of the Super Rizin 3 card headlined by Mikuru Asakura vs Ren Haramoto.
Pacquiao returns to the spotlight engaging in his second exhibition fight after his retirement in 2021 when he was defeated by Yordenis Ugas at the age of 42. Now three years later at age 45, it was reported that Pacquiao intends to return to a sanctioned fight against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios later this year.
His performance tomorrow night against the 6-foot tall Anpo will be a good gauge of his readiness to face the much younger Mexican-American world champion Barrios who has the same height as Anpo. Pacquiao who is 5-foot-6½ inches, faced bigger and taller opponents throughout his illustrious career including superwelters Oscar de la Hoya and Antonio Margarito who both stand at 5'11".
