CANELO DROPS AND DOMINATE CHARLO TO RETAIN UNDISPUTED SUPERMIDDLE TITLES

Canelo Alvarez imposed his will and power to dominate 154-lb undisputed champion Jermell Charlo, sending the American to the canvas in the 7th round before running out a wide unanimous decision victory to retain all his 4 undisputed belts in the super middleweight division at the T-Mobile Arena Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) broadcast by Showtime PPV.

Judges scores: Max de Luca - 118 - 109, David Sutherland - 118-109 and Steve Weisfeld - 119-108 all in favor of Canelo.

As the bell rang, Canelo and Charlo circled each other cautiously, showing immense respect for their adversary's power and skill. Charlo, ever the enigmatic mover, showcased his elusive footwork, darting from side to side. Canelo, a relentless force, stood his ground in front of Charlo, determined to cut off the ring.
