Filipino world-ranked light flyweight Marco John Rementizo has been looking fast and strong during his workouts in Thailand.
Today, “The Pacific Cyclone” Rementizo felt great during running, jumping rope and shadow boxing at Bangkok’s Highland Boxing Gym ค่ายมวยไทย มวยสากล.
The 24-year-old Rementizo trains in “The Land of Smiles” ahead of his battle against tough Thai warrior Jinnawat Rienpit on Thursday, August 31, at the luxurious Spaceplus Bangkok Night Club, RCA Plaza, in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.
The Pinoy’s fight is a non-title 6-round clash in the light flyweight division.
However, the one risking so much is Rementizo, putting his WBC #12 world rank on the line.
The friendly Marco John Rementizo (14-4, 11 KO’s), who is the reigning WBC Asia 108 pound champion, wants more than anything a shot at WBC/WBA world champion “The Amazing Boy” Kenshiro Teraji 寺地拳四朗 (21-1, 13 KO’s) of Kyoto Japan.
That’s why his Thursday’s war is so crucially important.
During battle, Rementizo, from the beautiful City of Golden Frienship, Cagayan de Oro, will be guided in his corner by veteran coach Frank Jaro of Rizal and assistant coach former fighter Jomar Fajardo of Iloilo.
Rementizo’s manager Wowie Adnan of Cagayan de Oro will also be present caring for his promising ward.
Rementizo VS Rienpit will air live on MVTV Thailand, and online for free from the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the promoter Highland Boxing Promotions.
You may also watch the show from the live stream of MVTV. Check if link works in your location:
The first bout for the exciting August 31 show in Thailand starts at 3 pm Thailand Time (4pm Philippine time).
Promoters Supanat Chanram, Tony Chen, and Brico Langbay Santig. Venue: Spaceplus Bangkok
Best of luck to 🇵🇭 Rementizo and to 🇹🇭 Rienpit, May the Best Man Win!
