After four consecutive knockout wins in Thailand, rising Bacoleño bantamweight Herlan Gomez (9-1, 6 KO's), presses forward with confidence his pro boxing career.
Coming up next, Herlan Gomez - born in Saravia, Negros Occidental - will wage a crucial war against tough Indian fighter Vikash Dahiya (6-2-1, 4 KO's), a man of action and power in his fists, wanting to batter and scalp the Visayan boy. Will Vikash succeed?
The exciting rumble will take place on Saturday, August 26, at the plush Le Meridian Hotel & Conference Center in the fabulous City of Gold, Dubai, in the United Araba Emirates.
Even though Herlan is the reigning Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) 118-pound champ after knocking out in four rounds former world champ "Pigmi" Wicha Phulaikhao earlier this year, his regional black & golden championship belt will not be on the line.

The clash is a non-title encounter, but a very important one. A defeat would hurt the career of the disciplined, focused and deeply religious Herlan.
In addition, boxing promoters, matchmakers, sponsors and fans in Dubai will be watching Herlan in action, interested in checking out the Filipino's fighting skills, speed and power.
It is Herlan's golden chance in the City of Gold.
In preparation for the important bout, the 24-year-old Herlan keeps on running, sweating and training, assisted by Highland Boxing Gym coaches Brico Santig of Benguet, Philippines, and Supanat Chanram of Bangkok, Thailand.
Last year, Herlan trained with Filipino coach former world champion Joemarie Gamboa Sr., from whom the Negrense young boxer learned useful techniques.
Vikash (L) and Gomez (R) will duke it out in Dubai on Aug. 26.
Herlan's eight-chapter collision against the strong India warrior Vikash in Dubai will air LIVE from the promoter's YouTube Channel.
"Herlan Gomez vs Vikash Dahiya" is produced and organized by Color World Star Promotions in association with Vic Sports Promotions, The Fighter Thailand, China star promoter Liu Gang, and Highland Boxing Promotions.
Good luck to Herlan and to Vikash on fight night in Dubai. May the Best Man Win!
