Filipino warrior Froilan "The Sniper" Saludar of Polomolok, Cotabato del Sur, will have the tough job of Fighting dangerous, bearded and tattooed Mexican slugger Luis "Pantera" Nery this coming Saturday, July 8 in the historic City of Metepec in México, live on ESPN.
The 10-round main event war - as reported by Notifight.com - is sure a tough rumble. However, it is also the golden opportunity for “The Sniper” to shine bright.
Because a win watched live on ESPN, would immediately rocket to the sky the fighting profile of Froilan Saludar, elevating his popularity in a big way among boxing fans and promoters. Could Froilan score the big win?
A renown vicious slugger, the 28-year-old Luis “Pantera” Nery (34-1, 26 KO's) comes into this fight against Froilan Saludar from a round 11 knockout win over hard-hitting Armenian Azat Hovhannisyan (21-4, 17 KO’s) last February in Pomona, California.
Meanwhile, the brave 34-year-old Mindanao warrior Froilan “The Sniper” Saludar (33-6-1, 23 KO's) lands in here from his October battle at the popular Lagao Gym in Gensan, very near the beautiful Mansion of Manny Pacquiao.
In that latest battle, Froilan came out of his red corner in a total fast 'n furious mode, as quick and powerful as a thunder, knocking out unheralded Bukidnon journeyman Crison “No Surrender” Omayao (24-29-5, 8 KO’s) in just 87 seconds. That wao performance surprised Omayao and fans alike.
In fact, that win has helped Froilan to get in the ring against Luis Nery this Sabado.
But we all know, Luis Nery is a fearsome enemy, a foe so different, a gladiator from another planetary system. Surely, Nery is the most dangerous foe Froilan has ever faced.
But, the bigger and tougher the opponent, the more rewarding would be the win, correct?
On Saturday, will Luis “Pantera” Nery stop the slick and experienced Froilán Saludar?
Or will it be Froilán Saludar - older brother of former champ Vic Saludar - the one to glitz and dazzle with speed, skills and power?
Loyal boxing fans from all over Pinoyland are rooting for the Filipino, wishing the very best of luck to Froilán “Sniper” Saludar in his hot battle in the far away boxing-loving Land of Mexico.
Luis Nery vs Froilan Saludar is staged by Mexican promoter Fernando Beltran of Tijuana, head of Promociones Zanfer, live on ESPN. May the Best Man Win!
