According to boxing reports, tough Filipino Wilbert "Armagedon" Berondo (16-6-2, 6 KO's) from the Lungsod sa Molave in Zamboanga del Sur, will look for his first win in Japan when he fights unbeaten Kantaro Juri 重里侃太朗 (4-0-1, 2 KO's) this coming Saturday, June 24, at the Ota-City General Gym in Tokyo, Japan.
The two 27-year-old boxers will collide in a scheduled 8-rounder non-title bout in the Super Flyweight division.
The rumble will be Berondo's 4th battle in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Will the underdog Zamboangueño Wilbert "Armagedon" Berondo shine outboxing and out-smarting the less-experienced Kantaro Juri, smashing his dreams of glory?
Or will it be the undefeated Japanese southpaw Kantaro Juri from Osaka the one to emerge victorious, moving forward his boxing career?
Kantaro vs Berondo is one of the supporting bouts for the main event headlined by the WBA super flyweight world title rematch of Kazuto Ioka vs Joshua Franco.
The show is promoted by Japanese man of boxing Takuya Kiya 木谷卓也 of Shisei Promotions, live on ABEMA TV.
Good luck to all. May the Best Men Win!
