Skilled 24-year-old Filipino Jayson Vayson (10-1-1, 5 KO's) of the beautiful Municipality of Veruela in Agusan del Sur will have the golden opportunity of climbing the square ring to battle veteran 37-year-old African 112-pounder Jackson "M3" Chauke (22-2-2, 15 KO's) for the vacant IBF Flyweight Inter-Continental Title on Saturday, May 27, at the Superbowl, Sun City in South Africa, live on SuperSport.
The intense clash is crucial for the two warriors, not only because the rumble is an IBF intercontinental title fight, but also because they both come from setbacks by points in their previous hard-fought battles.
That makes both men in desperate need of a resounding victory to pull them back into winning territory.
Plus, the winning fighter might as well get a place in the IBF world-rankings in the Flyweight division.
That’s why, in order to get all the perks attached to this mission, Chauke and Vayson are having more than enough time to fully prepare.
Jayson Vayson and coach Allan Alegria optimistic and in high spirits during training in Baguio.
In the case of the disciplined and focused Filipino Jayson Vayson, he will continue benefiting from fantastic training at the high elevation of "The Summer Capital of the Philippines," Baguio City, under the guidance of experienced coach former GAB Welterweight Champ Alan Alegria of Cotabato del Norte.
Should the event unfold as planned, who would emerge victorious on fight night?
Will the much-younger visiting Filipino Jayson Vayson of the popular Highland Boxing Gym in the Philippines score a thrilling win over Jackson Chauke in his own country of South Africa, the land of beloved legendary humanitarian Nelson Mandela?
Or would the strong 37-year-old local hero Jackson Chauke out-smart the talented Mindanao fighter?
In the co-main event, battle-tested Mexican Hugo "Verdugo" Guarneros (20-5, 10 KO's) from Amozoc de Mota in Puebla ("Verdugo" means "Hangman"), collides hard against 18-year-old undefeated heavy-puncher southpaw Phumelele "The Truth" Cafu (8-0-3, 7 KO's) from Eastern Cape, South Africa, for the prestigious red & golden vacant IBF Super Flyweight International Strap.
Chauke vs Vayson and Guarneros vs Cafu are the main rumbles of the exciting May 27 card promoted by the chairman of South Africa's National Professional Boxing Promoters Association Ayanda Matiti of Xaba Promotions. Matchmaker Brico Santig. May the Best Men Win!
