BANGKOK, Thailand -- World-ranked Filipino light flyweight "The Striker" John Michael Zulueta and tough welterweight "The Terminator" Ador Torrres feel confident and strong ahead of their respective title fights in the coming Highland Boxing Promotions show set for April 27 at the SpacePlus Night Club, RCA Plaza, in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.
The unbeaten 27-year-old John Michael Zulueta (14-0-3, 7 KO's), currently in the WBA and IBF world rankings, returns to action against tough and experienced SIlem Serang of Depok, Indonesia, in a scheduled 10-round clash.
It's a rumble in which the native of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, will attempt a successful second defense of his regional ABF (Asian Boxing Federation) 108 lbs title.
A win will get the world-ranked "Striker" Zulueta closer to his dream of a shot at the 105 or 108 pound world title. A defeat would be disastrous. What will happen?
ADOR TORRES DEFENDS ABF 147 STRAP
In the same show, focused welterweight warrior "The Terminator" Ador Torres (7-4-1, 4 KO's) of the beautiful Bicol Bungto san Santa Magdalena in the Probinsya han Sorsogon, will collide hard in a scheduled 10-chapter saga against Thailand's unbeaten 147-pounder former Muay Thai fighter Phiraphong Phuitthoeng, a man who has won all of his pro boxing fights by way of knockout.
The war is Torres' first defense of the ABF welterweight strap that he conquered in his previous rumble last December.
What will transpire when the hard-swinging Phiraphong engages in war with the Filipino Terminator? Torres is the perfectly functioning machine who comes from stopping his last three opponents. Is Phiraphong ?
Truly, both 28-year-old fighters want the big W on April 27 so as to advance their careers. Who will emerge victorious?
In the same show will see action Fil-Am "The Fighting Doc" JV Tuazon (3-4-2, 2 KO's) of New Jersey by way of Manila, Philippines, trading blows in a six-frame featherweight battle against fearless journeyman Jack Amisa of Malang, Indonesia.
The exciting boxing show on April 27 at the SpacePlus Night Club, RCA Plaza, in Bangkok, Thailand, is another presentation of boxing promoters Supanat Chanram and Brico Santig's of Highland Boxing Promotions.
