Filipino southpaw Joepher "El Gwapito" Montano (14-5-2, 12 KO's) JUMPS HIGH after being declared WINNER!
Montano clinched a majority decision VICTORY over tough and experienced Middle Kingdom Warrior Baishanbo Nasiyiwula "The Destroyer" (17-4-1, 7 KO's), to conquer the WBA Asia Welterweight Title on Saturday, February 4, in The City of Gold, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The strong and pogi Pinoy fighter - born in the Dakbanwa sang Bago in Negros Occidental - held his ground in the difficult mission, exchanging in the middle of the round against the big Destroyer, edging him with his slick moves, skilled boxing and a slightly higher volume of punches, being good enough to claim the well-deserved win.
The big Baishanbo, handled by China's top promoter Liu Gang of Maxpower, had a good performance against the Filipino, wanting to beat him, coming close, but the evening belonged to Joepher Montano, it was his time to shine bright, and so he did.
The battle was a production of Dubai's FCC Promotions LIVE in China and worldwide on different platforms.
Matchmaker: Brico Langbay Santig of Highland Boxing Promotion.
Congratulations to the 26-year-old "El Gwapito" Joepher Montano for his fantastic title Win! 👍
