Reymond Yanong Ready for LeQuan Wang WBC Asia Battle in Highland Show in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Experienced, hard-swinging Filipino Super Lightweight Reymond "Robocop" Yanong (11-7-1, 9 KO's) starts his 2023 campaign with an exciting mission here in Thailand: an important title rumble that could advance his boxing career, propelling him back into the winning column.
That's because the Negros Occidental-native is on the verge to battle unbeaten, younger Middle Kingdom warrior LeQuan Wang (7-0, 4 KO's) in a ten-chapter collision for the WBC Asia Continental Super Lightweight Strap.
The 10-round title fight is the co-main event for the Highland Boxing Promotion set to thrill boxing fans on February 25 at the luxurious SpacePlus Night Club in Bangkok, Thailand.
After back-to-back losses in Las Vegas and South Africa, this is the golden chance for the 29-year-old Reymond Yanong to bounce good with a big BANG win. Will he get that?
Notably, the war has been approved as a 10-rounder, a distance that Reymond already knows, although for Wang, it will be his first ten-chapters saga.
The most he has fought is only six rounds. Is that and advantage for the Filipino? Probably yes.
Therefore, will Reymond Yanong - inspired by the stunning world title win of Pinoy compatriot Melvin Jerusalem in Japan - take advantage of his more extensive experience, ring smarts, and knowledge of the sweet size to seize the day in Thailand, dominating and defeating the less-accomplished 23-year-old LeQuan Wang when they collide at Bangkok's SpacePlus Night Club on February 25?

In another intriguing rumble, big Taimoor Khan (6-0, 5 KO's) of Pakistan battles Thai fighter Aekkaphob Auraiwan (2-0, 2 KO's) in a non-title battle in the Bridgerweight division.
Also, Chinese welterweight Yong Shuai Luan (3-2-1, 1 KO) clashes rough against the hard-swinging, more-experienced Ahmad Samir Dawrani (8-1-1, 5 KO's) of Afghanistan. The Afghan warrior surely has a better fighting record than the Thai, but what will happen?
What's more, Chinese Yinhuan Su (8-5-2, 1 KO), and tough man of action Suriya Kraimanee (4-2-1, 2 KO's) of Thailand will exchange heavy artillery in a scheduled 10 rounder war for the vacant WBA Asia East Super Flyweight Strap. Will the winner be the Chinese or the Thai?
In middleweights, unbeaten Pakistan cop/boxer "The Markhor" Shahir Afridi (5-0-1, 2 KO's) will be in a collision course against Thaland's 20-year-old slugger Apisit Sangmuang (11-3-1, 8 KO's) for the ABF (Asian Boxing Federation) 160-pound championship belt.
Interestingly, the friendly Afridi is a policeman in his native Pakistan. He is also a pro fighter, as well as Pakistan's #1 fan of American lightweight champion Devin Haney.
In fact, for the 27-year-old Afridi, Devin Haney's fighting skills are superior to the ones of Teofimo, Tank, Kingry, Regis, and he is right now even superior to Loma, because the aging Ukranian star is no longer the awesome Matrix fighter he once was (Afridi's personal opinion).
Furthermore, In a fight of rookie teenagers, Thai featherweight Nattapol Attachak (0-1, 0 KO's) fights young Iqrash Khan (1-0, 1 KO) of Pakistan in a four-round skirmish.
Also, Indonesian Rony Mangga Praouw locks horns against Worraphon Jesadajindawat of Thailand in 6 stanza war in the Middleweight division.
And, in another intriguing war, Japanese former world champion 木村翔 Sho Kimura (19-3-3, 12 KO's), a fighter known for shocking and ending the pro boxing career of Chinese former Top Rank star Zou Shiming five years ago, will battle tough Chinese warrior Wulan Tuolehazi (15-4-1, 7 KO's) for the vacant WBA International Flyweight Strap.
The 34-year-old Kimura wants to get back into the 112 lbs world-rankings by decisively overpowering Tuolehazi, a fighter with dreams of his own. Who will prevail in this intriguing 12 rounder?
Last but not least, 22-year-old Tanachai Khamon of Samut Prakan, Thailand, takes on 19-year-old Pakistan warrior Mukhtiar Ahmed Kakar in a 6-chapter clash in the featherweight division.
