Taller, younger Omega Gym star Tomjune Mangubat (L) of Bukidnon and veteran former amateur standout Charly Suarez of Davao del Norte made weight today, ahead of their 12-rounder war for the vacant WBA ASIA Super Featherweight Title clash in Parañaque, Metro Manila, a hot battle of strength, heart and courage.
Together with their respective coaches, the two combatants looked strong, in fantastic shape, laser-focused on their crucial mission ahead, both men are well-aware that the winner will not only conquer the coveted, brand-new shinning belt, but will also sky rocket his standing in the 130-pound world-rankings.
The gwapo Tomjune "Wardog" Mangubat, 24, is backed by the very popular Omega Gym of Cebu, while the former amateur medalist Charly Suarez is guided by the beloved Elorde Family.
Nine years younger, Tomjune Mangubat (15-2-1, 12 KO's) might arguably be the fresher warrior, the one with the treasure of youth on his side, as well as advantages in height and reach.
Those factors make fans in social media wonder if those awesome physical attributes will be enough to dominate the crafty Suarez, a man used to box well in amateur tournaments?

Then, will the shorter, older Charly Suarez (9-0, 6 KO's) manage to get in the inside of Tomjune, controlling and out-landing him in the same way he did to journeymen Eduardo Mancito and Jon Jon Estrada last year?
That remains to be seen, although for some fans Tomjune is arguably a superior fighter than Mancito and Estrada.
Or will the damaging shots from the distance dished out by "The Wardog" Tomjune Mangubat be debilitating enough to make him victorious once again, claiming belt and world ranking?
Mangubat and Suarez are in a collision course, May the Best Man Win!
