Filipina 102-pound warrior Norj Guro of the Dakbayan sa Iligan, Lanao del Norte, gets a hot break when she battles British fighting woman Denise Castle for the vacant WBC Silver Atom Title Saturday, March 26, at the upscale Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai, U.A.E.
Guro's rumble will unfold as scheduled provided that the cute, tough fighting girl and her boxing team comply with all government requirements.
The well-trained Filipina wants to extend her winning streak, claim the prestigious WBC green 'n silver belt, and break into the world's top-15 atomweight female fighters in the world. Will she accomplish all of that?
Her many fans think she can, even though her mission might not be easy as her strong, big-heart Denise Castle is a tough nut to crack, a woman wanting to fly into Dubai not for shopping, but to prescribe a defeat to the Pinay southpaw. Will Denise accomplish that?
Or will the experienced Norj Guro, a warrior girl no stranger to risking it all behind enemy lines, have too much ring-smart, slick moves, speed and skills for the aggressive, coming-forward Denise who is a former IBA minimumweight world champ?
Norj Guro vs Denise Castle WBC silver 102 title clash is the co-feature of an entertaining evening of boxing filled with exciting fights.
The main event will be the blow-by-blow rumble between dangerous battle-tested southpaw Ramadhan "Ransom" Weriuw of Merauke City, Indonesia, taking on unbeaten 21-year-old Usman Wazzer (6-0, 3 KO's) of Astore, Pakistan, for the vacant WBC Middle East and ABF Welterweight Belts.
The exciting international show, which is billed as "The Rising Sun Dubai," is set for March 26 at Dubai's fancy Habtoor Grand Resort.
The event is produced by Filipino promoter Brico Santig, head of the Highland Boxing Team in association with Vic Boxing Promotions.
