Filipino Super Flyweight Jade Bornea (17-0, 11 KO's) of Gensan was a really strong Hurricane, scoring the most important win of his pro boxing career by devastatingly dropping and stopping with a fast 'n furious body attack Italian Muhammed Obbadi (22-2, 13 KO’s) to win the IBF-115 World Title Eliminator today January 14 at the Auditorio Jacales in the beautiful Ciudad de Monterrey in México.
Too accurate, powerful and superior of a fighter was the whirlwind Jade Bornea ravaging the Italian with a storm of leather, not giving him an inch, dropping right-hand bombs over his head as well as hooks to his mid-section, rocking the Italian to the floor in Monterrey from where the damaged Obbadi could not get up.
Bornea barged into title contention after dispatching Obbadi in the third round during their IBF title eliminator fight in Mexico on Friday night (Saturday in Manila).
With the fantastic early Knockout Win, the 26-year-old "Hurricane" Bornea becomes the mandatory challenger to the IBF Super Flyweight World crown, whose reigning king is fellow Mindanao warrior IBF Super Flyweight World Champion Davaeño “Pretty Boy" Jerwin Ancajas.
Will Ancajas vs Bornea indeed happen next?
That rumble would be another all-Filipino battle for a world title, after last one, Donaire vs Gaballo, unfolded a month ago in Carson, CA.
The gwapo Jerwin "The Pretty Boy" Ancajas (33-1, 22 KO’s) was about to battle Japanese star 4-division world Champion Kazuto Ioka on New Year’s Eve in Tokyo until Omicron forced Jerwin to postpone the hot 115 unification clash, which still so many fans want to see happening.

Jade Bornea’s awesome stoppage win was seen live in Latin America on ESPN Knockout. The Filipino Hurricane was accompanied in Mexico by MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons.
Congratulations to the new IBF Super Flyweight Mandatory Challenger Jade "Hurricane" Bornea!
