Filipino "Ruthless" Romero Duno of Cotabato City, Maguindanao, will have the fantastic opportunity of battling undefeated lightweight contender "The Ghost" Frank Martin (14-0, 10 KO's) of Indianapolis in a 10-rounder bout featured in Premier Boxing Champions New Year's Day show at the Hard Rock Seminole Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Representing Maguindanao Province in the Philippines, the hard-hitting Romero "Ruthless" Duno (24-2, 19 KO's) enters the fight as the winner of three consecutive fights, all won by way of knockout.

Indeed, the "Ruthless" 26-year-old has put together a winning streak after being stopped in one round by hugely popular unbeaten Mexican-American "Kingry" Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KO's) two years ago.

But that rough setback against Ryan Garcia is in the rearview mirror.

Because Duno has claimed triumphs by stoppage in Miami during this 2021 over Paraguay veteran Ramón Elizer Esperanza (22-20-1, 11 KO's) in August; and another knockout win over Colombian journeyman Jonathan "Popeye" Pérez (38-29, 30 KO's) in September; and "The Ghost" Martin is the next in line.

Romero Duno.

Will Duno be able to scare the heck out of The Ghost for a riveting KO win?

The undefeated Frank "The Ghost" Martin (14-0, 10 KO's), who is also 26-year-old, has moved up in the lightweight rankings this year with a pair of impressive victories.

Yes, "The Ghost" - who fights under the Errol Spence Jr.'s Man Down Promotions banner - has knocked out previously undefeated fighter Jerry Perez in a dominant performance in April; and after that he claimed a unanimous decision nod over Ryan Kielczweski in August.

Born in "Motor City" Detroit, Ohiio, Frank Martin moved to Indianapolis, he now trains in the Dallas, Texas, area under top trainer Derrick James, alongside unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.

Should the "Ruthless" Romero Duno score an impressive, lighting knockout win over "The Ghost" Martin - as we all wish - the chances for the Cotabato City fighter to challenge for the lightweight world title in 2022 increase exponentially.

Will the Pinoy slugger be able to accomplish the crucial win on this Saturday live FOX? Or will "The Ghost" be too much for the heavy-handed Mindanao warrior? Soon we'll find out.

Good luck Romero Duno!
