Filipino Nonito Donaire’s fourth-round picture-perfect knock out punch couldn’t have been more amazing.
Lethal and paralysing, the power shot completely disassembled unbeaten, young gun Reymart Gaballo, dropping him down on his knee from where he tried in vain to get up. But couldn’t.
With the KO win, the hugely popular “Filipino Flash” retained his WBC bantamweight world title.
The victory also gives him super really good chances of getting his much-wanted super hot rematch against unbeaten Japanese superstar Naoya Inoue (21-0, 18 KO’s).
Nonito Donaire wants the Inoue rematch as part of his goal of becoming undisputed bantamweight champion, the ultimate accolade for a champion the world boxer.
Will the shinning, gwapo and charismatic Nonito Donaire get that Naoya Inoue fight in 2022? Let’s hope so.
Congratulations Nonito!
