Paul (L) and Woodley will have a return bout after Fury withdraws.
Unfortunately, unbeaten British Light Heavyweight Tommy Fury (7-0, 4 KO’s), has been injured and will be out of his much-hyped clash against popular trash-talker Jake Paul.
The unbeaten Tommy Fury, younger brother of unbeaten WBC Heavyweight World Champion Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 22 KO’s), suffers a broken rib as well as of a respiratory infection, according to ESPN.
Due to this unfortunate mishap, a rematch between Jake Paul (4-0, 3 KO’s) and 39-year-old Tyron Woodley (0-1, 0 KO’s) has been quickly arranged for the coming Dec. 18 show.
Yes indeed, it’s confirmed that retired MMA fighter Tyrone Woodley will be the late-sub for the headlining 8-rounder Dec 18 event in Tampa, Florida, live on Showtime PPV.
The controversial “Problem Child” Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley already fought to an eyebrow-raising split decision draw last August in Cleveland, Ohio.
In that first 8-rounds rumble between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley, two judges scored for the 24-year-old Jake Paul, while one judge scored for Tyron Woodley from Saint Louis, Missouri who was making his pro boxing debut.
Woodley connects at Paul with a right straight during their first fight.
After learning the above info, some fans now ponder over questions such as:
Will this time the shorter veteran Woodley manage to convincingly dominate “The Problem Child?” Will the 39-year-old Woodley be in top shape for the battle just 11 days away? Is this “fight” a real fight, or just a stunt for the popular YouTube super star Jake Paul to make another set of shining million$? Is it worthy for fans to tune-in to watch this?
Well, given Jake Paul’s huge popularity, followership and eccentric notoriety, surely lots of fans will want to watch.
Will you?
