From the onset of actions the aggressive Andrade landed fast and effectively with fantastic power on the liver and the head of Quigley (19-2, 14 KO's), damaging him quick, rocking him to the canvas, stunning the man from Ireland who had no counter measures in him to avoid the barrage of furious blows thrown at him in rapid-fire mode.
Three times was Jason Quigley forced to the blue floor by Andrade during the course of the short-lived rumble until veteran referee Arthur Mercante Jr. halted all actions to avoid further punishment on the Irishman.
After the quick, exciting win, Andrade (31-0, 19 KO's) asked promoter Eddie Hearn for high-profiled fights, wanting to get into battle against undefeated Mexican former titlist Jaime Munguia, fellow American WBC champ Jermell Charlo or the ever-popular fan-friendly Kazakhstan IBF world champion “Triple G” Gennady Golovkin.
Demetrius Andrade embraces Irishman Jason Quigley after dropping, rocking and stopping him in 2 rounds to retain his WBO Middleweight World Title Belt Friday night (Nov 19) in New Hampshire, live worldwide on DAZN.
Who would you like to see Andrade battling next? All the names mentioned sound good, but If I have to choose one, then I’d love to see Andrade vs Charlo next. Let's see what will unfold with Andrade, the hard-punching WBO middleweight champion of the word.
CO-FEATURE: JULIO CÉSAR MARTÍNEZ VS MCWILLIAMS ARROYO ENDS IN NO CONTEST
The WBC Flyweight World Title rumble between Mexican defending champion “El Rey” Julio César Martínez (18-1, 14 KO’s) and Puerto Rican Challenger McWilliams Arroyo (21-4, 16 KO’s), ended in a "No Contest" decision after Arroyo suffered a bad cut on his eye from a non-intentional headbutt, prompting the third man Johnny Callas to stop the hot contest in which the two men rocked each other to the canvas.
In due time, fans would love to see a rematch.
AKHMADALIEV OUTBOXES VELÁSQUEZ TO RETAIN WBA/IBF SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT WORLD TITLES
In the same show seen live worldwide on DAZN, Uzbekistan's Murodjon Akhmadaliev (10-0, 7 KO's) outboxed coming-forward bull José Velásquez (26-7-2, 19 KO's) of Chile for a unanimous decision win to keep his WBA/IBF Super Bantamweight World Titles
The Uzbek world champion fully displayed his superior boxing skills over the bearded hard-swinging Chile boxer who surely packs TNT in his fists, although lacks finesse regarding technique.
As a result, unanimous scores were 119-111 thrice in favor of the absolutely more-skilled undefeated Uzbek world champion, and many fans would like to see him against the winner of the Brandon “The Heartbreaker” Figueroa vs Stephen Fulton for the undisputed super bantamweight crown.
Figueroa (22-0-1, 17 KO’s) and Fulton (19-0, 8 KO’s) are set to rumble for the WBC/WBO-122 world title next Saturday, Nov 27, in Las Vegas.
WOMEN’S ACTION: Reis Decisions Camara, Retains WBA-140 Belt, Ready to Unify Against Cute Chantelle Cameron
In a close blow-by-blow women's battle which unfolded mostly in the center of the ring, veteran Kali Reis (19-7-1, 5 KO's) decisioned tough Canadian challenger Jessica Camara (8-3, 0 KO's) over 10 hard-fought rounds to retain her WBA Super Lightweight World Title, adding the WBO strap as well.
Reis’s win sets the stage for her much-anticipated 140 lbs world title unification battle against 30-year-old unbeaten British WBA/IBF Super Lightweight Queen Chantelle Cameron (15-0, 8 KO’s), probably in the UK, and May the Best Woman Win!
