Nakhon Sawan, THAILAND — Working harder than expected and surviving a 7th round scare, Thai world champion Panya Pradabsri (37-1, 24 KO’s) outclassed and decisioned his younger challenger Danai Ngiabphukhiaw (9-3, 5 KO’s) for a successful second title defense of his WBC Strawweight World Title today, Tuesday Nov 2, here in Nakhon Sawan, Kingdom of Thailand.

Scores were unanimous 117-111 (twice and 118-110 for Panya willing to reaffirm why he is the world’s #1 strawweight in the Planet according to Boxrec.com.

From the onset of actions the more confident and aggressive Panya stalked his opponent, landing on him continuously and solidly with combinations, but the challenger Danai boxed his way out of trouble, rocking Panya hard and clean during a hot exchange in seventh round. Some fans thought that the WBC crown was changing heads, but no because Panya managed to survive, dishing out damaging hands of his own.

Veteran referee Dr. Thawuth Pluemsamran intervened to separate the fighters only two times throughout the 12-round battle as the boxers were more than willing to trade furiously in the middle of the ring.

Fans now wonder what tough challenger should 105-pound WBC king Panya Pradabsri (37-1, 24 KO’s) defend against next?

In the televised co-feature, former longtime WBC strawweight world champion Wangheng Menayothin came back to the winning column by ravaging his opponent with a thunderous left hook to the liver for a devastation round 3 TKO Win.
