NIETES WINS BY UD OVER CARILLO IN DUBAI, CAPTURES WBO INT'L TITLE

Donnie 'Ahas' Nietes returned to his winning ways after an absence of two years and two months by defeating Pablo Carillo of Columbia by unanimous decision to capture the WBO International superfly championship belt at the Ceasar's Palace Dubai Saturday night (early Sunday morning in Manila) televised lived on ESPN. The scores were 99-91, 97-93 and 96-95 all in favor of the Filipino four-division champion.

Nietes improves his record to 43 wins, 1 loss, 5 draws with 23 knockouts while Carillo dropped to 25-8-1, 16KOs

Nietes, 38, dominated his younger opponent in all aspects of the fight as can be seen in the compubox numbers below.
