Dentist Jenny Mayor rules Romblon Chess Club Blitz Tournament

7-time Philippine Executive Chess Champion Dr. Jenny Mayor of Cajidiocan, Romblon topped the 11th Edition of the Romblon Chess Club Blitz online chess tournament held via lichess.org on Sunday.
Dr. Mayor leaned on his vast experience to nail his first title of the chessfest sponsored by DILG Regional Director James Fadrilan, DILG MLGOO Carlito Faina Jr., DSWD MIMAROPA RIO III Engr. Ernie Faeldonia, Engr. Arc Hindap, Engr. Chevruel Canulo and Mayor Dental Clinic.
Dr. Mayor scored 9 points, zero draws, and a loss in 1st round by default.
The event was participated by 46 All-Romblomanon Chess Players. It was played using the Swiss System in a total of 10 games, with a time control of 5 minutes and zero increments.
Rounding up the top 10 were Nephtali Bantang (2nd), Bryan Blair Fallarme (3rd), engr. Ernie Faeldonia (4th), Orly Pascual (5th), Jerry Morada Jr. (6th), John Paul Canulo (7th), Meliton Yu (8th), Yaneah Sofiah Morada (9th) and Carlito Faina (10th).-Marlon Bernardino-
