
Treysha Flores rules ECC-Manila online chess tourney

Treysha Flores bagged the championship trophy in the under 20 division of the 2nd España Chess Club-Manila (ECC-Manila) held online tournament at the lichess platform last January 18, 2021.
The High School Student from Calapan, Oriental Mindoro tallied 6 points in seven outings to claim the title. She defeated China Espanola, Christian Joel Oclarit, Genesis Jahk Andres, Randolfh Mata Jr., Kate Nicole Ordizo, Ericka Ordizo and suffer a loss against Goten Ahmed.
"Not all the time's men are superior to women. This was proven once again by Treysha Flores, a High School Student from Calapan, Oriental Mindoro, & Ericka Ordizo of Alaminos, Pangasinan, edging Multi-Awarded Junior Champion Jasper Faeldonia in the 2nd ECC-Manila under 20 Swiss 7 round Swiss System held at lichess.com," said engineer Ernie Fetisan Faeldonia, president of the organizing Espana Chess Club-Manila (ECC-Manila).
Ericka Ordizo of Alaminos, Pangasinan came in second followed by Jasper Faeldonia of Odiongan, Romblon (third), Daniel Baylosis (fourth) and Kate Nicole Ordizo (fifth).
Category winners are Genesis Jahk Andres for top kiddie and Danica Alfaro is the top lady.
Meanwhile, Jon Mark Anarna won the 23rd KCCR Blitz Under-2000 Swiss event. Anarna finished with 8 points in nine games last January 17, 2021.
MJ Guani took the second spot with 7 points. In third place is Blue Vince Brimbuela who had 6 points.-Marlon Bernardino-
