In an outstanding performance, rising-star WBA interim Super Featherweight Champion Chris "Prime Time" Colbert 15-0, 6 KO's) retained his black and golden belt by overpowering in eleven rounds game challenger Jaime Arboleda tonight at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut live on Showtime.

Handled by Al Haymon, Colbert made perfect use of his far superior speed, slick moves and firepower in dropping several times and finally stopping Arboleda (16-2, 13 KO's), who showed heart and willingness to rumble, but a lack of effective resources to counter the overwhelming fighting skills of "Prime Time" Colbert.

During Showtime’s post-fight interview, Colbert shared that he feels satisfied with his win after having trained for the battle since July, adding that he now considers himself ready to battle any of top-5 men in the 130 pound division next.

"I’d not mention names of fighters. I leave that to Al Haymon. Whoever he says, I’d fight," commented the 24-year-old Brooklyn-native in Showtime; prompting fans to wonder how would Colbert fare against some of the more established superfeather warriors in the Planet such as Mexicans Miguel Berchelt, Oscar Valdez and JoJo Diaz, or even fellow southpaw Tevin Farmer.

The victory was Colbert’s first defense of the interim title that he won by outclassing former champ Jezreel Corrales (23-4, 9 KO’s) last January.

Owner of a restaurant specialized in chicken dishes, the cool Chris “Prime Time” Colbert — who dyed his hair pink for cancer awareness — made a successful debut on Showtime, surely aquiring many new fans.

The official time for the TKO was 1 minute 37 secs in round 11. 💥💥
