One of the year’s most anticipated welterweight fights is about to unfold in a few days, boxing fans wondering who will emerge victorious as unified WBC/IBF welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr., defends his 147-pound titles against Boricua warrior former 140-lbs champ Danny García of Philadelphia this coming Saturday, December 5, at the old Dallas Cowboys Stadium, now the “AT&T Stadium” in Dallas, Texas.👍

Spence, Jr. (26-0, 21 KOs) returns to the ring for the 1st time after surviving a terrifying car crash last October in Dallas, fans wondering how good can “The Truth” still fight.

The truth is that at a high speed, Spence crashed and flipped several times his brand new white Ferrari while he was allegedly intoxicated and without his seatbelt on.

Though the Ferrari was 100% wrecked, Spence thankfully survived. However, right after leaving hospital, the Dallas Police Department charged him with DWI (Driving While Intoxicated).

A police officer inspects Spence's car after the crash.

“I am triple-blessed and I must be here for a reason,” Spence said. “I just can’t wait to go out and put on a show.”

Meanwhile, the more calm Danny "Swift" Garcia (36-2, 21 KO’s), wants to reign supreme in boxing once again after proving himself so well as a solid unified 140-pound king of the world.

Indeed, the fighter of Puerto Rican blood aims with a laser-focused determination to best Spence on Saturday night to conquer both the WBC and the IBF 147-crowns. Will Danny García make it?

Interestingly, Danny knows that he is the underdog. He is also down in all betting odds. But that doesn’t bother “Swift” at all.

That’s because how many times has the underdog won? Who can remember super underdog super chubby fighting boy Andy Ruíz Jnr devastatingly knocking the huge, undefeated, formidable Anthony Joshua? Or Teófimo López outboxing and defeating the amazing “Hi-Tech Vasiliy Lomachenko? And who has more examples of underdogs winning? They are endless.

Nope, being the underdog does not disturbs Danny, nor his fans.

Furthermore, here the big question mark about the Erorl Spence, the one boxing fans ponder about:

Has that bad movie-like car accident somehow affected Errol Spence Jr, physiologically or physically in any now unforeseen way, paving the road for an experienced, tough warrior like Danny García to defeat him?

In my opinion, yes, it is very possible. I think that the 32-year-old Boricua Danny Garcia has the fighting skills, firepower and mental strength to dominate the taller Spence. However, the mission could not be tougher.

To me, Danny could emerge as the winner on Saturday.

Two reasons: one, Garcia is really an outstanding fighter, a mature warrior with excellent proven talent and dynamite in his blows; and two, I’ve got the feeling that Spence Jr. might not be the same fighter after his near-death car accident.

To win, Danny might need to press the fight in the inside where he could be more effective, landing solidly to the body to drain out Spence. García’s relentless slugger style has seen him control mean opponents. Can he do the unthinkable and prevail by stoppage over Spence? It is possible. In my mind, it is possible. We shall see.

What is also likely is that the winner of Spence vs Garcia clash would go on to wage more thrilling battles in 2021, possibly a unification war against champions Terence “Bud” Crawford, or even Manny Pacquiao. Time will tell.

SUPPORTING BOUTS FOR DALLAS

In supporting roles, 2-time former world title challenger Mexican-American Josesito López (37-8, 20 KO’s) fights fellow Californian Francisco Santana (25-8-1, 12 KO’s) in a 10-rounder 147-lbs battle.

Josesito is an old fan favourite. Sure he’ll have lots of people rooting for his win.

In another hot rumble, the tall hard-swinging 6′ 5½” super welterweight Sebastian Fundora “The Towering Inferno” (15-0-1, 10 KO’s) promoted by Sampson Lewkowickz rumbles twelve hellish chapters against Mexican former world-title challenger “El Demonio” Jorge Cota (30-4, 27 KO’s) of Sinaloa. ”El Demonio” vs “The Towering Inferno,” it could be one hell fight!

The Spence vs García show is promoted by Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) live on FOX PPV and ESPN in Latin America.

May the Best Men Win! 👍👍
