All eyes on Young, Nisperos, Cabellon in Gov. Daniel R. Fernando Inter-Town Online Chess Team Tournament

MANILA, Philippines – International Master Angelo Young, National Masters Nick Nisperos and Gerardo "Gerry" Cabellon will be under the microscope when they play against fellow Bulacan chessers in the upcoming Governor Daniel R. Fernando Inter-Town Online Chess Team Tournament to be held on November 21, 22, 28 & 29, 2020 on lichess.org.

The free registration with lots of cash prizes two weekend tournament is sponsored by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando in cooperation with PYSPESO headed by its Department Head, Atty. Kenneth Z. Ocampo-Lantin.

It's divided into 2 categories, kiddies 14-under category and open category.

"I will do my very best," said Young, top 8 during the 2019 World Seniors Chess Championship in Bucharest, Romania.
Young, an 8-time Illinois, USA chess champion will lead the Marilao chess team.

Nisperos, on the other hand, 27th place during the 10th annual Philadelphia Open held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA in 2016 will spearheaded Obando chess team.

Cabellon, meantime led Meralco to an unprecendented 5 Championships in the ESAP Tournament is the team skipper of Bocaue chess team.

Other notable players are National Master Michael Gotel of Sta. Maria, United States chess master Karl Victor Ochoa of Calumpit and Mobile Chess Club PH 14-under Champion Vince Duane Pascual of Hagonoy.
