GM Antonio spearheads Racasa Birthday Online Chess Celebration entries

Grandmaster Rogelio "Joey" Antonio Jr. will be the man to beat in the Robert Racasa Birthday Online Chess Celebration bullet tournament on October 24, 2020, Saturday, 10 pm at lichess.org.

Though already 58 years old, Antonio still wields sharp form with his bullet rating of 2523, one of the highest in the field that also includes Grandmaster Darwin Laylo, International Master Joel Pimentel, Emmanuel Senador and Danilo Chito Garma, Fide Masters Roel Abelgas, Randy Segarra and Jony Habla, National Masters Marc Christian Nazario, Elwin Retanal, Giovanni Mejia at Alexander Lupian.

The one minute bullet play to finish, Arena 2 hours duration tournament, sponsored by birthday celebrant Robert Racasa, godfather of Philippine Memory, and his wife Marife Berthe Murillo-Racasa, organized by Bayanihan Chess Club, dangles a total pot prize of P3,000. Special prizes per win against GM is P100 and P50 for draw.
