Up-and-coming Cyrus Vladimir Francisco will lead some of the country's woodpushers in the Emmanuel "Manny" Pabustan Birthday Cup Chess Challenge three (3) minutes plus one (1) second increment blitz, 21 rounds swiss format on October 24, 2020, 6pm, Manila Time at Lichess.org.
Also seeing action are Ricardo Jimenez, Garry Binag Garcia, Michael Metrio, Joshua Yson, Leo Mirana, Ormilito and Kate Ordizo and Alvin Mabini.
The champion will receive P700, the second placer will have P500, the third placer will earn P350, the fourth placer will pocket P250 and the fifth placer will get P200. Sixth to 10th placers will bring home P100 each, 11th to 15th placers will get P75 each, 16th to 20th placers will receive P50 each, 21st to 40th placer will have P25 each and 41st to 60th placer will pocket P15 each.
Category awards for the Top U-10, Senior, Lady, 2200 and below, 1500 and below, lucky 75 and best F4 opening awaits cash prizes.
