Tough Mexican fighter Alejandro Santiago, a former challenger of Filipino IBF World Champion Jerwin Ancajas, made weight for today’s title battle.
WBC International Bantamweight Champion Alejandro Santiago (21-2-5, 11 KO’s) scaled in @ 118 pounds, while his compatriot challenger Willibaldo García (10-3-1, 5 KO’s) came-in @ 117 for their 10-rounder title clash today, Monday, September 21, in Tijuana, 🇲🇽 Mexico.
Both men looked focused and in awesome shape during the official weigh-in ceremony, ready for action.
The 24-year-old 🇲🇽 Santiago battled popular Pinoy 115-pounder “Pretty Boy” Jerwin Ancajas, 28, to a razor-thin split draw back in 2018.
Now as an 118-pounder, the Tijuana native aims to a shot at the WBC Bantamweight World Title.
A win today over García inches him closer to that golden dream.
Will the more-experienced Santiago emerge victorious today? Or will glory-hungry García derail him?
The show — promoted by Paco Damian — will air live worldwide on streaming service FITE TV PPV ($ 6.99).
