IM Labog wins Delarmente online chess tourney

Manila---International Master Eric Labog Jr., won the Honorable Counselor Dra. Doray Delarmente birthday celebration online chess tournament last August 28 at the lichess.org.

Labog, Gwapings Attack 2002 on Lichess, top player of University of Perpetual Help System Dalta under the watchful eye of national coach IM Roel Abelgas finished with 84 points in 22 games for a win rate of 100 percent and performance rating of 2707 to win the event organized by Manresa De Ajedres Chess Club.

The online tournament had time control of two minutes and players must win as many games in 90 minutes of play according to Alpert Murillo, Owner and Founder at Lakbay Lakay Travel & Tours.
National Master John Ranel Morazo of Paniqui, Tarlac took the second spot with 58 points on 20 games and a win rate of 85 percent for a performance rating of 2581.

In third place was Johann Cedrick Gaddi of Rizal Province who had 56 points on 24 games and a win rate of 71 percent for a performance rating of 2401.

Rounding up to the top 10 were Emmanuel Barbosa, (4th) Marlon Montoya (5th),Paul Sanchez (6th),Jan Clifford Labog (7th),IM Chito Garma (8th), Marlowe Cagulada (9th) and WIM Kylen Joy Mordido (10th).

Adjudged category winners were Larex Tagalog (Top Manresa), Froilan Reyes (Top Senior) and
WIM Kylene Joy Mordido (Top Lady).-Marlon Bernardino-
