Kriz "Dodoy" Villareal rules Andalus Chess Club-Bahrain Grand Prix Tour

Manila---Kriz "Dodoy" Villareal, an International Audit Manager, Oriental Press Bahrain, dominated the Andalus Chess Club-Bahrain Grand Prix Tour August 2020 on Friday (August 28) at lichess.org.

Villareal, who is also the Secretary-General of organizing Andalus Chess Club-Bahrain, scored 10 points on account of nine wins, two draws and one loss to win the 12 round swiss tournament.

Among his crucial wins were against Ronnie Cataroja in the first round, SM Romanillos in the second round, engr.Ernie Faeldonia in the third round, Edward Songco in the fourth round, Felixberto Baguyo Jr. in the seventh round, National Master Elwin Retanal in the eight round, Jackson Badon in the tenth round, Louie Mendoza in the eleventh round and Avian Delgado in the 12th and final round.

He split the point with Jasper Faeldonia in the sixth round and Tristan Jared Cervero in the ninth round. His only setback at the hands of National Master Francis Jocson in the fifth round.-Marlon Bernardino-
