PACC names Aklanon Wilfredo Neri as prexy

AKLANON International Arbiter/National Master Wiflredo Neri now heads the newly-formed Philippine Arbiters Chess Confederation (PACC).
“Thank you for your confidence in me,” Neri said, to his fellow arbiters and chess officials recently held in Quezon City witnessed by NCFP chairman/president Rep. Prospero "Butch" Pichay Jr., executive director Atty. Cliburn Anthony Orbe, Asia's First GM Eugene Torre and GM Jayson Gonzales.
It shall be recalled that Neri won the gold medal in the standard and rapid event of the 2017 Asean Age Group Seniors division chess championships in Pahang, Malaysia. He end up silver in the blitz competition.
The 53 year old Civic Leader is a BS Commerce Graduate student at Aklan College.
A former Barangay Captain, Sports and Games Regulation Officer and currently work as Sports Devt.Officer III at the Office of the Provincial Sports in Aklan.
A licensed Fide (World Chess Federation) arbiter and instructor, NCFP Visayas Coordinator, PCTAP Natl Vice Pres. for Visayas, former Natl Vice Pres of Arbiters Visayas, PECA Natl Vice Pres for Visayas and Assistant Executive Director for Visayas. He got is Arena Grandmaster (AGM) title in December 2017.
