
Sta. Maria Bulacan Summer Chess Tournament on Saturday

THE COUNTRY's woodpushers are in for a treat as Sta. Maria Chess Club will host the 2019 Sta. Maria Bulacan Summer Chess Tournament officially starts on Saturday, May 4 at the Long Meadows Resort, Bowling and Sports Center, Barangay Mahabang Parang, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
The one day chess tournament expects to gather pawnpushers with an 1900 and below limit rating according to tournament director Mr. Normel De Jesus.
The time control shall be twenty (20) minutes with 5 seconds time delay per move using the digital chess clocks added Deputy Chief Arbiter NA Richard Dela Cruz.
Deputy Tournament Director Mr. Victor ?Bong? Anas said prizes at stake in the 1900 and below rapid chess tournament are P4,000 plus medal for the champion; second place, P2,000 plus medal; third place, P1,200 plus medal; fourth place, P800 plus medal; fifth place P600 plus medal, 6th to 8th P400 each.
Category prizes awaits for the Top Lady, Top Elementary ,Top High School and Top Senior (55+) with P500 each plus medals.
Registration fee is P 300 while P250 each for Female, Elementary student, Senior Citizen and PWD.
To be sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) and organized by Sta. Maria Chess Club.
1900 and Below Division (NCFP rapid rating as of March 2019) is limited only to 100 players only.
There will be a side tournament 2150 and below.
