Banares wins 1st Project-EX 10-Ball; pockets P100,000

FORMER World Junior representative Jericho Banares ruled the 1st Project-EX 10-Ball Open at the Project-EX Sports Bar & Resto in Iloilo City, late Sunday.
Banares defeated Johann Chua, 11-6, in the finals to bag the top prize of P100,000 plus elegant trophy. Chua settled for P50,000 plus elegant trophy.
In the battle for third and fourth, Roland Garcia bested Jeffrey Ignacio, 5-2, to go home P25,000 richer while Ignacio got P10,000.
On the road to the finals, Banares toppled Garcia, 11-9, in the semis while Chua outlasted Ignacio, 11-4, in the other final four matches.-Marlon Bernardino-
