
Muntinlupa team chess tourney slated March 24

THE Muntinlupa Chess Team Tournament 1950 average ratings will start off on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Dioko Pavillion, Barangay Cupang in Muntinlupa City.
The rapid chess team event format will have a time control of 20 minutes plus five seconds delay per move using seven round-swiss system in this one-day tournament, hosted by sportsman Vic Ulanday in close cooperation with former Bureau of Immigration Deputy Commissioner Marc Red Mari?as and vice mayor Celso Dioko.
Open to all bona fide resident of Muntinlupa City with his/her proof of residency. Companies, Schools and Agencies within the vicinity of Muntinlupa City may join the tournament by sending their teams in the said competition.
"We do this to promote chess in the grass-roots level," said sportsman Vic Ulanday. "We also believe that by encouraging the youth to actively participate in sports like chess will keep them away from drugs," added Ulanday.
Prizes at stake is P20,000 plus trophy for the champion.
The second to fifth placers are set to pocket their respective cash prizes worth P10,000, P7,000, P5,000 and P4,000 each while minimum of five teams for the category winners in the Top elementary chess team.
Top high school chess team, Top college chess team and Top senior chess team (60 years old and above) will get P2,000 plus trophies and P1,000 each awaits for the Individual board medallist from board 1 to 4.
