
Mark Anthony Yabut wages war against Ravel Canlas in the Alphaland National Executive Grand Finals

PAMPANGA Top Real Estate Broker Mark Anthony Yabut of M.A.Yabut Realty says he is ready for war when he goes up against engineer Ravel Canlas of Pagcor in the Round-of-64 of the Alphaland National Executive Grand Finals on December 1 at the Activity Hall, 2nd Floor, Alphaland Makati Place, Ayala Avenue corner Malugay Street, Makati City.
?I trained hard for this fight so I can give a good show for chess fans,? said the Bacolor, Pampanga bet Yabut, a former varsity player of the multi-titled Far Eastern University Chess Team.
"I feel honored to play against Mark Anthony Yabut and I promise to play my best," said the Cavite-based Canlas, playing for the Univeristy of Sto. Tomas Chess Team during his College days.
"It?s a very interesting match," said National Master Julius Sinangote.
There will also be a matchup between over-all Grand prix topnotcher Atty. Cliburn Anthony Orbe of Alphaland Corporation versus La Salle coach Susan Grace Neri, Dr. Alfredo "Fred" Paez of Jolly Smile Dental Clinic versus former Barangay Captain and sportswriter Jaime Frias II, National Master Efren Bagamasbad of Galas, Quezon City versus National Master Francis Jocson of Capiz, Information Technology expert Joselito Cada versus giant killer Reymond Jacob Baon and seven-time Philippine executive chess champion Dr. Jenny T. Mayor of Mayor Dental Clinic and National Master Wilfredo Neri of Kalibo Aklan.
The knock-out event will be the first to be aired lived on the Internet through facebook and youtube channel of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.-Marlon Bernardino-
