
Rubilen Amit to grace 7th annual J&P 10-Ball Cup Championships

A wide open race looms when the 7th annual J&P 10-Ball Cup Championships gets underway on October 19, 2018 at the Superbowl Makati Cinema Square in Makati City.
Top executive cue artist from Metro Manila and the nearby provinces will converge for the country's longest-runnning executive billiards tournament, with first Filipino woman to become a world pool champion Rubilen Amit gracing the simple opening ceremonies prior to the start of the competition.
Amit is expected to encourage participants in the 10-ball competition to continue to play the sport.
She may also share her secrets of her rise as one of the world?s woman top players.
Amit will make the ceremonial lag along with national coach and International Billiards champion Rodolfo "Boy Samson" Luat and other members of the national team.
Defending champion engineer Vergel Recaido who is fresh from a third place finish in the CueSpot Lounge 8 ball tournament last September 9, 2018, is the top favorite in the event jointly organized by long-time billiards patron sportsman/businessman Aristeo ?Putch? Puyat and DMC Entertainment and Production management boss Jesse Gonzales Cambosa Sr., which offers P40,000 and a trophy to the champion.
The second placer bagging P20,000 while the third placer will get P10,000.
The rest of the Top 16 will receive P5,000 for fourth to 8th place, and P1,000 for the 9th to 16th placers.
Expected to provide stiff competitions are Blogger Leslie ?Anitokid? Mapugay, Dr. Christian Mancao, Broadcaster Sam Nielsen Sarmiento, Banker Mel Austria, Businessman Michael Cua and Esteban Robles, Artist Popoy Cusi, expat players Tim Gosnell, Jean Michel Berille and Jason Pye and Architect Eric Salud.-Marlon Bernardino-
