Face-to-Face for the first time were Filipino super bantamweight rising star Jeo "Santino" Santisima and unbeaten Goodluck Mrema (16-0, 8 KO's) of Tanzania during the ALA Promotions Presscon today ahead of Pinoy Pride 41 this coming Saturday July 8 at the new IEC Convention Center in Cebu City.
Both fighter, Santisima, 21, and Mrema, 22, were accompanied by their respective trainers and appeared in good shape and were respectful towards each other during the presser this morning at the Rajah Park in Fuente Osme?a, downtown Cebu City.
The hard-punching Santisima (13-2, 11 KO's), who is going through a really good moment in his ascending pro boxing career, will have by far his greatest challenge in boxer Goodluck Mrema, the undefeated young Tanzanian super bantamweight champion with more than a hundred amateur fights who did not come all the way from Tanzania in Eastern Africa to Cebu for a loss.
Nevertheless, it will be the first time as a pro boxer that Goodluck Mrema fights outside of his home country. "Would that be a negative factor for you on Saturday night?"
"Not at all," replied the rather shy Mrema through the translation of his veteran trainer/manager Mr. Paul Akoth. "Because inside the ring it will be only him (Santisima) and me."
In addition, Mrema (pronounce Marema), expressed not having any difficulty from the long travel and affirmed that his weight and conditioning are perfectly under control.
"We have taken this fight against the Filipino Jeo Santisima very seriously. We have trained as if it is a world title fight," added Mr. Paul.
In fact, the winner of the Jeo Santisima VS Goodluck Mrema clash truly advances his career with an international victory that will likely mean an inclusion in the world rankings.
On the other corner, the Masbate wonder-kid Jeo "Santino" Santisima - seating besides his trainers Edito Villamor and Michael Domingo - indicated that he is in top form and ready for rumble against the the undefeated Goodluck Mrema this Saturday.

"We have been training very hard for Saturday. This fight is important to us," said the ALA team.
Santisima's intention is to keep his fighting career on the rise, while getting his 12th consecutive win-in-a-row; with most of those triumphs by way of KO.
So the question in the minds of fans is:
Will the young Filipino Santisima be able to dominate, perhaps knock out, the undefeated tough Tanzanian 122-pounder king... Or will it be Goodluck Mrema the one to break the focus of the Filipino to defeat him Saturday night..?
You have to be there to find out.
