Veneno Dom?nguez.
Mexican Emmauel "Veneno" Dom?nguez (21-5-2, 13 KO's) is a high risk factor for Jack Tepora,? affirmed Pio Paulo Castillo of Cebu?s Omega Gym about his fighter's upcoming WBO 122-lbs Oriental Title defense against the Mexican Super Bantamweight National Champion this Friday July 7 at Island City Mall in Tagbilaran, Bohol.
The Mexican "Veneno" Dominguez is an experienced, active, dangerous fighter in a winning streak, who has fought all over Mexico, capturing the Mexican 122-lbs belt.
He won it with one solid knock out punch to the liver of Alejandro "Payasito" Hernandez that dismantled him last September in Mexico City. That result was: Veneno Dominguez winner by KO in round 4.
"Payasito" Hernandez was a world-ranked, former titlist and Veneno rocked him badly.
After knocking out Hernandez in September, "Veneno" Dominguez has claimed two more wins, one over Enrique Alvarez last December in Acapulco, and his last victory, another win over Javier Armando Rodriguez last April in Veneno's own hometown of Aguascalientes in North-Central Mexico.
Veneno Dominguez's home town Aguascalientes means "hot waters," name that originates from the abundance of hot springs in the area.
In addition, "Veneno" means "Poison."
"That's why boxing fans should really back up Jhack Tepora in his battle against this poisonous Mexican from Aguascalientes who is coming to Bohol," added promoter Castillo.
"Most definitely, this Mexican "Veneno" Dominguez is a risk."
"But it's also the chance to move Jack Tepora, 24, up to a next fighting level," concluded Omega Gym risk-taker Pio Paulo Castillo, who noticeable breath and exhales boxing with a passion.
In addition to defending his WBO Oriental 122-lbs Belt, Jack Tepora's WBO #12 world-ranking is also in the line of fire.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old "Veneno" Dominguez, who is ranked among the top-40 super bantams of the planet by the WBC, is also the current Mexican National super bantamweight champion as well as the reigning FECOMBOX super122-lbs titlist.
WHO IS VENENO DOMINGUEZ STRATEGIST AND COACH?
Dom?nguez is trained by none other than Mexican great Alfonso Zamora. That is something.
Zamora was a hugely popular, brilliant knock out artist and Olympic medalist in Munich 1972 (the only Mexican ever to win an Olympic medal in boxing).
Alfonso Zamora became the WBA bantamweight world champion in the mid 70's.
He got in the ring against the very best bantamweights of Earth, including legendary Carlos Zarate (the only one professional boxer in history to put together two streaks of 20 or more knockout wins in a row), Jorge Lujan, Soo-Hwan Hong, Alberto Sandoval. Zamora also knocked out Panama Hall-of-Famer Eusebio Pedroza.
In his career Zamora knocked out two Filipino boxers: Adrian Zapanta of Manila (knocked out in 1) in 1974, and Cebuano Tanny Amancio (knocked out in 4) in 1975.
Coach Alfonso Zamora, now 63, was born in Mexico City, but during more than 10 years he has lived and trained boxers in Aguascalientes. It is expected that Zamora will travel to Bohol with his fighter Veneno Dominguez.
VENENO, A POISONOUS TREAT TO TEPORA'S UNBEATEN RECORD
"Veneno" is prepared, well trained and is coming to Bohol with the intention of poisoning with leather the unblemished, undefeated record of Filipino rough-puncher southpaw Jack Tepora (20-0, 15 KO's), and who'd love to be in Bohol to witness the rumble?
Meanwhile, Jack Tepora - who comes from knocking out Indonesian Yon Armed (14-8, 6 KO's) last March - will have to prepare amazingly well for this ring appointment against "Veneno" as the Mexican is light-years better fighter and the Indonesian, as well as all the other 19 boxers he has so far battled.
A resounding victory of the Cebuano southpaw Jack Tepora will increase his credentials to be considered for a battle for the WBO world 122-lbs crown against world champion Jessie Magdaleno (25-0, 18 KO's), while a defeat will remove him from his belt, his ranking and wil sent him back to square one. It's like Castillo says, a risk.
Jack Tepora is trained by his elder brothers former - fighters Christoper "Pingping" Tepora and Jerald "Jingjing" Tepora.
The Tepora brothers are world-class coaches who live in Planet Boxing and have trained former 2-division world champion Johnriel Casimero (23-3, 15 KO's).
Will the tough more experienced Mexican Veneno Dominguez and his amazing coach boxing royalty Alfonso Zamora be able to handle Filipino Jack Tepora.... Or will the hard-hitting Filipino Jack Tepora rock this poisonous Mexican to delight his fans and retain his WBO belt?
You have to be in Bohol to know.
In addition to Jhack Tepora's battle with Veneno Dominguez, ten more exciting fights are lined up to excite fans at the Island Mall in Tagbilaran.
